Ammonia, a dangerous substance, is used in the chillers for the cooling process.

This component is a cause for concern specially, if it leaks. It can cause serious lesions and even death.

Logoplaste Mealhada, following a rigorous EHS training plan, will promote a session to teach internal team members to deal with these kind of situations.

Due to its social responsibility, the plant went the extra mile and invited 7 fire fighters to also attend the training as this is not a usual situation and extra procedures need to be taken. These men will then pass the information to their team so all the brigade is aware of how to deal with an ammonia emergency. ​
